Note: We began reading, Bloody Times: The Funeral for Abraham Lincoln and the Manhunt for Jefferson Davis. We read pages 177 to 187, the end of chapter 2, in class on Thursday and Friday.

Period 6 did not begin reading due to the Spring pictures. We will begin reading the next class period.

The performance task collaborative discussion paper deadline has been changed to next Wednesday and Thursday, March 14 and 15. The outline for the paper should be completed by Monday for odd classes and Tuesday for even classes. April 19 to April 30 State Testing Day for ELA

Students will be testing from Thursday, April 19 to Monday, April 30 in their English class. Ongoing assignments during this time: Finish reading the novel, Homecoming. Add a signpost to your log for each chapter. You should finish reading by May 1 and 2. Continue researching your career. Be ready with your research notes on May 3 and 4.

March 6 and 7 (Odd 3 and Even 4)

Today, students will be assigned a text for the performance task. The final paper will be due on March 12 for odd classes and March 13 for even classes.  "O Captain! My Captain! Paper is due in class today. All assignments for Unit 3 need to be turned in no later than March 13th for all classes.
